Ubuntu Make は各種開発環境をインストールするためのパッケージです。
ディストリビューションのリポジトリとは独立した最新版の開発環境を構築することができます。
Ubuntu wily に、Ubuntu Make 15.09 でサポートされたUnity 3D Editor をインストールしてみました。

Ubuntu Make のインストール``` bash
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ubuntu-make
$ sudo apt-get install ubuntu-make

Ubuntu Make からインストールした時の気づき事項
- インストール/アンインストール時に対象パスの問い合わせがあります。
- インストール/アンインストールの際に
Downloading and installing requirements が実行される。
- デフォルトのインストール先は
~/tools/games/unity3d/ です。
- メニューは[プログラミング]-[Unity3D Editor]になります。
- .desktop ファイルは
~/.local/share/applications/unity3d-editor.desktop に作成されました。なお、アンインストールしてもメニューファイルは消えませんでした。
- Ubuntu Make からインストールした場合、Cairo-Dock のランチャーからの実行が機能しないようです。
- 新しいバージョンのOS を利用しているなら、Ubuntu Make 経由でない方がシンプルかもしれません。
